Harshit Rana Fined And Banned For His Celebration

Kolkata Knight Riders bowler Harshit Rana has been fined 100% of his match fees and banned for one game for breaching the IPL code of conduct. This comes after his celebration against Delhi Capitals after he dismissed Abishek Porel. The first controversy that happened with Harshit Rana was when he was fined 60% of his match fees for celebrating the wicket of Mayank Agarwal with a flying kiss.

Keeping this brutal fine in mind, Hashit Rana appeared to stop his celebration after picking up the wicket of Abishek Porel. However, it seems his efforts were a little too less and a little too late as he recieved an ever harsher punihment for his actions against Delhi Capitals. He was fined 100% of his match fee and also banned for one game in the Indian Premier League.

What Did IPL say about Harshit Rana’s Penalty?

IPL released a statement regarding this. They said:

“Rana committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding. The player was earlier penalised under the same level and article of the IPL Code of Conduct. “
