Shivam Dube is an Indian cricketer who plays for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has played for three different franchises in IPL. He has represented Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, and Chennai Super Kings. Dube made his IPL debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2019. While he only played four games in his first season, he got many more chances in the 2020 IPL season.
In the 2020 IPL season RCB decided to give Shivam Dube more chances. However, it did not go exactly as they planned. In 11 appearance Dube made 129 runs at an average of 18.42 and a strike rate of 122.85. In 2021 Shivam Dube left Royal Challengers Bangalore and joined Rajasthan Royals.
The Indian allrounder had a much better season with Rajasthan Royals than the two he had with Royal Challengers Bangalore. Dube made 230 runs in nine appearances for RR including a 64 runs innings where she stayed not out. He finished the season with an average of 28.75 and a strike rate of 119.17.
In the IPL 2022 mega auction he was bought by Chennai Super Kings and has been playing for them ever since. Dube realized his potential at CSK. In his first year he played 11 games and scored 289 runs including an innings against his former team Royal Challengers Bangalore against whom he scored 95 in 46 balls and remained not out. While this was a good season, his next season was even better.

Dube played 16 games in IPL 2023 and scored 418 runs. He ended the season with an average of 38 and a strike rate of 158.33. Dube seems to have carried this form into the current season as well. He has already scored 242 runs in just six games at an average of 60.50 and a strike rate of 163.51. It is due to these performances that many have started asking questions as to if Shivam Dube may have earned a spot in India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Shivam Dube was bought for ₹5 Crore by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2019. The next time he participated in the auction was the 2021 auctions where he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for ₹4.40 Crore. After just one season with RR, Dube was back in the auction for the IPL 2022 mega auction. This time Chennai Super Kings bought him for ₹4 Crore.

It is with the help of his IPL salary, BCCI contract, and such brand endorsements that Shivam Dube has managed to accumulate a net worth of approximately ₹30 Crore.

Shivam Dube has been in phenomenal form in the IPL this season. If he continues to play like this he may be able to break into India’s T20 World Cup squad. He was bought by Chennai Super Kings for ₹4 Crore in 2022. Since then, he has not been released by the club and continues to earn a salary of ₹4 Crore per year. He also has a Grade C contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India which pays him an annual salary of ₹1 Crore. Combining his salary from the Indian Premier League as well his Indian team contract, Shivam Dube earns approximately ₹5 Crore a year.
