Sandesh Jhingan currently plays for Indian Super League side FC Goa. He joined the club in 2023. Jhingan has played for various clubs in his career. He has performed splendidly at these clubs and developed into one of the best Indian defenders. The lucrative contracts at these clubs, along with various brand endorsements with different companies, have helped Sandesh Jhingan amass a net worth of ₹41 Crore.
The Indian star started his professional career in 2011 with United Sikkim. He played for them from 2011 to 2013 before moving to I-League side Mumbai Football Club. Jhingan had a very short stint with Mumbai as the Indian Super League (ISL) started in 2014. Newly formed Indian Super League team Kerela Blasters decided to pick Sandesh Jhingan in the 2014 ISL Inaugural Domestic Draft.
Jhingan did not start the first game of the inaugural ISL season. However, he did start in the second game and put in a very good performance. He became a mainstay in the first team since then. He helped guide his team to the ISL final, but he and his team lost in the final against Atletico de Kolkata. After the 2014 ISL season ended, the defender signed for Sporting Goa on loan to play in the I-League. Kerela Blasters retained Jhingan for the 2015 ISL season. This made him the highest-paid Indian defender in the league. After the ISL season ended, he decided to join I-League side DSK Shivajians on loan.

The mercurial defender was retained by the club once again for the 2016 ISL season. However, Jhingan saw his primary position for the 2016 season shift from centre-back to right-back. This was because Kerela Blasters already had Aaron Hughes and Cedric Hengbart playing in Jhingan’s preferred position. He helped get his team to the final again, but they still did not manage to win the ISL title. After the ISL season ended, Jhingan went on loan to Bengaluru FC, who were still playing in the I-League at that time.
Sandesh Jhingan signed a long-term contract with Kerela Blasters in 2017. This made him the highest-paid defender in the Indian Super League. He was also named as the captain of Kerela Blasters from the 2017-18 season. He captained the side in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 ISL seasons. However, at the beginning of the 2019-20 season, Jhingan was ruled out of the ISL season with an ACL injury. In May 2020, Kerela Blasters announced that the club had parted ways with Jhingan on mutual consent.
ATK Mohun Bagan signed Jhingan for the 2020-21 season once he returned from injury. While he had a five-year contract with the club, he had a clause allowing him to leave upon receiving an offer from a European club. This is exactly what happened when Croatian club HNK Sibenik decided to sign Jhingan in 2021. This made the Indian defender the first Indian to play in Croatia. While his stint with HNK Sibenik did not last for long, it would have helped propel his net worth to ₹41 Crore.
In the 2022 January transfer window, Jhingan returned to ATK Mohun Bagan. He played in nine matches during the 2021–22 season for the club before leaving to join Bengaluru FC in 2022. He made 29 appearances for Bengaluru FC but ended up moving again, finally arriving at his current club, FC Goa.
