This, however, does not come as much of a shock considering the Indian stars following on social media. The batsman has 266 Million followers on Instagram alone, making him one of the most followed person in the world.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma announced the birth of their second child Akaay on 20th February 2024. Kohli took to twitter to share this news with his followers. He posted a picture on twitter talking about this announcement with a heart emoji as the caption. Akaay is Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s first baby boy and Vamika’s younger brother.

The Indian cricketer is known for his consistency in the team. Therefore, it came as a shock when he withdrew from the first two tests against England in late January, 2024. People starting speculating what the reasons could be with media outlets putting out news like saying a family member was ill to Anushka and Virat expecting a child.

The news about Anushka being pregnant was solidified when AB de Villiers said that the celebrity couple was expecting a second child. After Kohli withdrew from the final three tests as well, de Villiers took to the media again and admitted to sharing unconfirmed news. He said that he had made a blunder and asked everyone to give the family some privacy. However, now he has been proved right as Virat Kohli announced the birth of a baby boy on twitter himself.

Both Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma shared this news on Instagram as well. They shared the same picture with the same heart emoji as the caption. The post read:
