ICC Announces Changes to 2023 Cricket World Cup Schedule, India vs Pakistan Match Moved to October 14: The ICC has recently released a new schedule for the World Cup 2023, moving the much-awaited India vs Pakistan game to the 14th October from its initial date of 15th October. It is worth noting that the venue for the event remains the same, with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad still set to host the match.
Following a meeting with ten staging associations in Delhi, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah disclosed that a few ICC member boards participating in the World Cup had requested certain modifications to the schedule. Shah explicitly denied that India’s highly anticipated match against Pakistan was being rescheduled due to security concerns.

Apart from the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match, eight other World Cup games have undergone schedule modifications. The Bengaluru-hosted group-stage match between India and the Netherlands, has been rescheduled to 12th November 2023.
The match between England and Afghanistan in Delhi, originally scheduled for 14th October, has been rescheduled to 15th October Sunday due to the India-Pakistan match being shifted.
The schedule for the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka match in Hyderabad has been changed from Thursday, 12th October to Tuesday, 10th October. Meanwhile, the Australia vs South Africa game in Lucknow has been pushed back a day and will now take place on Thursday, 12th October, instead of Friday, 13th October.
The match between New Zealand and Bangladesh, initially planned to be a day game on 14th October in Chennai, has been rescheduled to 13th October and will now be played as a day-night encounter.
The last scheduled league game between India and the Netherlands has been rescheduled to take place on 12th November 2023, in a day-night match held in Bengaluru.
