Ruturaj Gaikwad has been one of the top players for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) since joining the side in 2020. He started slowly initially, playing just six matches for his team. However, he managed to shine in the limited opportunities, hitting 204 runs with a high score of 72. Gaikwad hit three half-centuries in 2020, striking the ball at a rate of 120.71.
The opener went on to impress the next year as well, scoring 635 runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored his first and only IPL hundred in 2021 when he played 16 games for CSK. He also hit four half-centuries that year, scoring runs at a strike rate of 136.26, with an average of 45.35.
The 25-year-old went on to excel in IPL 2022, with Ruturaj Gaikwad IPL 2022 record seeing him score 368 runs with a high score of 99. Despite averaging just 126.26, the Maharashtra lad hit three 50s, despite seeing his team have a rather disastrous season.

Ahead of IPL 2023, the Maharashtra star has registered 1,207 runs in 36 games. Gaikwad’s overall strike rate in IPL history currently sits at 130.35 and an average of 37.72. He has scored 10 half-centuries and one hundred in the competition’s history.
The 25-year-old will be eager to better his record as he will head into IPL 2023 with a stellar performance in the Indian domestic circuit. After shining in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Gaikwad broke multiple records in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022.

The right-handed batter has been in jaw-dropping form Vijay Hazare 2022. His scores in the last eight innings of the tournament read as 136, 154*, 124, 21, 168, 124*, 40, and 220*. At the time of writing, Gaikwad team, Maharashtra is set to play in the semi-finals of Vijay Hazare 2022. He will look to continue in his purple patch of form against Assam and hopefully help his side make it to the finals of the competition.
