Narayan Jagadeesan broke multiple records at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru during Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022. The Tamil Nadu star set the stage on fire with his innings and now holds the record for most runs by an Indian cricketer in List A cricket, surpassing Rohit Sharma’s 264* while batting against Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.
Narayan Jagadesan edged past Rohit Sharma’s run tally during the 41st over of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 clash between Tamil Nadu and Arunachal Pradesh. The former CSK star hit 14 sixes and 24 boundaries during his innings, which also sees him break the world record of the highest score in List A cricket. Earlier, England batter Ali Brown held the record in the 50-over format for his 268.
The 26-year-old also set a world record by scoring five successive centuries in List A cricket. Previously
Devdutt Padikkal, alongside South Africa’s Alviro Petersen and Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara, shared the record with four back-to-back centuries in List A Cricket.
Narayan Jagadeesan’s innings ended with 277 onboard off 141 balls! The former CSK batter managed to hit 24 fours and 15 sixes during his innings while registering a jaw-dropping strike rate of 196.45. Arunachal Pradesh’s Chetan Anand claimed the wicket as Nabam Abo completed the catch to end Jagadeesan’s fantastic innings.
