The apex-level cricketing governing council will elect its chairman will be during the board meeting in Melbourne next month. BCCI is not expected to nominate its candidate for the chairman’s position, with the deadline date for the same set to be 20th October.

An unnamed official who attended the BCCI AGM was quoted by PTI stating, “As far as India’s representative to the ICC is concerned, it will be decided by the office-bearers. There was no discussion on the ICC chairmanship. Only matters on the agenda were discussed.”
