Indian speedster Umesh Yadav has signed a deal with Middlesex Cricket which will see the 34-year-old feature in the remainder of the county season. The English domestic cricket club made the announcement on Monday after the veteran pacer’s visa process was completed.
Following the completion of all the documentation process, Yadav is eligible to play in the English domestic circuit. Originally not a part of the Middlesex team, the speedster can now feature in various First-Class and List-A games. He has been signed as a replacement for Shaheen Afridi with the Pakistani speedster leaving the team for national duty.
Umesh Yadav is expected to play a crucial role in Middlesex’s County Championship and Royal London Cup campaigns. The Indian pacer has also been added to Middlesex’s squad for the upcoming county clash. He is expected to make his debut at Merchant Taylors’ School later this week.
