theScore Bet Plans to Launch Sports Betting in Colorado this Month

Score Media and Gaming announced on Wednesday that its subsidiary, theScore Bet meets the requirements of Colorado sports betting rules and regulations, and therefore it has received a green light from the Colorado Division of Gaming. theScore Bet secured market access to offer mobile sports betting in Colorado through its previously announced agreement with a subsidiary of the U.S. gaming operator Jacobs Entertainment.

Founder and CEO of theScore, John Levy said, “We can’t wait to launch theScore Bet in Colorado later this month and showcase our incredible betting product to the passionate sports fans there.” He also added that the approval will mark a significant step as the company plans for a multi state expansion. The company will provide a uniquely integrated betting experience across the country.

theScore Bet had signed an agreement with Jacobs Entertainment, back in January in order to gain access in the Colorado market. The gaming operator holds two casinos in Colorado under its title, The Lodge Casino and The Gilpin Casino. 

theScore Bet Plans to Launch Sports Betting in Colorado this Month

Back in November 2019, people of Colorado voted to legalize sports betting in the state. State officials set a plan to launch sports betting on 1 May in the Centennial State. The plan did go ahead as expected and the state’s legal sports betting market launched in May. In May this year, bet365 signed an agreement with Century Casinos in order to enter the Colorado market. However in order to start operating in the state, bet365 will need to apply for a license from the state regulator. Once the company receives the license it will be able to launch sports betting services.

theScore Bet delivers an immersive and holistic mobile sports betting experience and is currently available to place wagers in New Jersey. The giant William Hill also entered the sports betting market of Colorado. Last month, on July 24 the operator launched six betting kiosks in two gaming properties – Isle Casino Hotel and Lady Luck Casino. The company picked the perfect timing to launch its sports betting as back in July, the Major League Baseball (MLB) had just returned.
