The Esports Club Announces South Asia’s Biggest Valorant Esports Event

South Asia’s biggest Valorant event called ‘TEC Gauntlet’ was recently announced by The Esports Club. The event will have 4 seasons. Every season will be additionally split into regular seasons, which will be followed by playoffs between the top teams fighting for the championship title.

After each of the four seasons, independent qualifiers will give new teams a chance to join the league. Each qualifier will have its own prize pool. The Esports Club revealed that the sponsors for the TEC Gauntlet include AMD Ryzen and WD Black.

The upcoming event will begin in June 2021 and will continue till February 2022. The event will feature a massive prize pool of ₹52,00,000. Interested teams can register on the official website of The Esports Club.

Talking about the event in a press release, Ishaan Arya, co-founder of The Esports Club, says, “The TEC Gauntlet truly is the crown jewel for us at The Esports Club.” He further adds, “We’ve been working hard over the past year running some of the largest Valorant events in the region, understanding what the players and fans are looking for and of course coming up with a great competitive format that enables us to create something that is truly exciting without a dull moment!”

During the mid-season break of the event, TEC Gauntlet will also include the All Star Tournaments. The best players will be awarded the Tournament MVP or Rookie of the Season awards.

The much-awaited TEC Gauntlet event will be a first of its kind Valorant event in the South Asian region. With the event, The Esports Club aims at providing the Valorant game in South Asia with a long-term roadmap. The structure of the event will be similar to Blizzard’s Overwatch League (OWL). However, due the popularity of Valorant India, one can expect more participation of players as well as viewership than the OWL.
