According to a report by Esports Insider, the esports career platform Enlight recently announced that there will be a total of four program that will be launched for those who are looking to build their career in esports. Each program in this series will cover different disciplines and will run for six-weeks. The sessions will conduct two live sessions per week and are priced at $500 (~£358) starting from July 19.
Reports stated that the various disciplines of the programs are:
1. Competition and event operations
2. Broadcast and live content production
3. Social media and community management
4. Talent and player management.
Each category in the program will also have two sections, that is technical and career. The Technical sessions will tutor students about relevant skills in the discipline that they have chosen. These sessions will also include a lecture that provides students with hands-on training.
Whereas in Career sessions, students will be tutored about job-related content that includes interview workshops, resume reviews, and career advice.
Further reports stated that a few of Enlight’s curriculum advisors are Cristina Amaya, Team Liquid’s Head of Events, Soren Vendsahm, Complexity Gaming’s General Manager, Gene Chorba, Riot Games’ Senior Developer Relations, and Garret Spenst, Elgato’s Trade Marketing Content Specialist.
Eunice Chen, the founder of Enlight reportedly said, “The industry talent pipeline before Enlight was largely non-existent and fragmented. These career programs standardise and prepare career-ready candidates from around the world straight to the best esports companies.”
News reports state that Enlight has offered more than $5,000 (~£3,581) in scholarships reserved for women and other groups who are not financially equipped. As for the others who wish to sign up for the programs, the registration window will remain open till the 5th of July.
