For those who read that headline correctly, we are as much in shock as you! Why? Who on earth had thought that the mighty Doug Polk would eat his words and accept that he may have made an error in judgment about Robbi Lew. He did paint the town red with his videos trying to accomplish how Lew must have cheated. But for the three-time World Series Of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, not an ounce of admissible proof came to light with all that blabbering and playing bitch.
Why are we suddenly talking about Polk and Lew? We don’t mean to drag you through that mud (Polk sure did drag Lew’s name through neck-deep mud), but the Upswing Poker founder shot a tweet saying he’s up for a question and answer session. This was the perfect opportunity to get some answers from the poker pro.

One Reddit user named ‘jakeba’ threw the most sought-after question at Polk. The user wrote, “Where do you stand on the J4 hand now? What are your cheat/no-cheat %s?” Now that’s being gutsy and honest, isn’t it? The poker world and the rest wanted to know what Polk felt about Hustler Casino Live’s investigation report and the cheating accused passing her lie detector test.
For someone who reported extensively on the Robbi Lew – Garrett Adelstein cheating scandal, I felt Polk may disregard the findings of the investigation and call out Hustler, but for a change he just took a hard right turn from his ‘100% cheated’ stand.
The American pro wrote in his answer, “It’s a good question. At the height of the events that occurred I felt very, very convinced she cheated. I still think it’s much more likely cheating than not but there are a few things that moved the needle the other way for me. No one coming forward for the bounty was the biggest thing. The other 2 smaller things are the hustler not finding any evidence + Robbi passing the lie detector tests, but tbh those things are really not that important. Will go down as one of poker’s greatest mysteries.” (sic)
Not sure what to say to Polk! Congratulations for seeing some merit in the investigation of the case or your public relations team finally drilled some hard sense into your head. Either way, the 34-year-old made it clear via his answer that Lew could have been innocent given the lack of evidence and the fact that the bounty went unclaimed.
But we have one question for Polk. All that unending love and support for Adelestein was all show and no substance? If Polk had to pick a side, he could have kept his opinion neutral but he chose to side with his high stakes pro brother and declare Lew a cheater without any proof to prove her crime (super convenient and wrong on many levels).
Also, Polk hasn’t uttered a single word on Adelstein returning the money to Lew. It is probably because the Manhattan Beach resident gave it away in charity since he believed it was his money and not something Lew won fair square.
