David Goldberg wins the $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship at WSOP Online

The New Jersey resident David Goldberg won $86,440 and his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet after defeating a field of 398 competitors.

At the 2021 WSOP, David Goldberg became the latest player to win a gold bracelet. He won his first WSOP bracelet worth $86,440 after beating other participants. Goldberg’s career-high score was $54,810, which he won as the fourth-place finisher in the 1999 WSOP $1,500 limit hold’em tournament.

In this event, the top 54 finishers made the money, including three-time bracelet winner Kristen Bicknell aka ‘krissyb24’ (25th, $1,945), World Poker Tour Main Event winner and high-stakes tournament regular Alex Foxen aka ‘OrcinusOrca’  (23rd, $2,606), bracelet winner and 2015 WSOP Main Event sixth-place finisher Tom Cannuli aka  ‘.BEAST.’ (13th, $3,744), and Justin Lapka aka ‘Lappypoker’ (11th, $4,761), who won an online WSOP Circuit ring only a few days ago after winning his first bracelet earlier this season.

Joseph Sanders aka ‘brandnflowrs’ led the chip count at the final table, with Goldberg in second place. Goldberg took the chip lead into six-handed play after eliminating Blaze Gaspari aka ‘skillz225’ (8th, $7,561) and Andre Nyffeler aka ‘RiderStrong’ (7th, $10,131) at the final table.

Chan WooKim aka ‘Rikishi’ was the next to bust, with his pair of nines failing to defeat Michael Holtz aka ‘BrockLesnar’ set of tens to win the prize. As the sixth-place finisher, Kim cashed $13,544.

ToddSladek aka  ‘Chi.T.420’ won his first knockout of the day with quad kings, and defeated Robert Calca aka ‘AuntWeesh'(5th,$18,316) in the last hand to reduce the field to just four players. He then busted Joseph Sanders aka ‘brandnflowrs,’ who finished in fourth place. Sanders went all-in against Sladek’s cowboys. Sanders cashed $25,620 in prize money.

Holtz’s run in the poker championship came to an end when he could not defeat Goldberg’s aces.

When the poker tournament’s biggest pot was played, Sladek had a slight lead. Sladek busted as he could not survive Golberg’s three of a kind when the river opened. Sladek nose dived despite his two pairs with tens and fives and finished in runner up position
