Daniel Smiljkovic leads WSOPC Rozvadov ME Day 2


The world-famous poker brand World Series of Poker (WSOP) hosts Circuit events throughout the world. 2019 WSOPE (WSOP Europe) Rozvadov is currently taking place at King’s Casino in Czech Republic. The series began on 14th March 2019 and is expected to be in the books today, 1st April. The €1,700 Main Event is the highlight of the event and will be seeing its winner declared today.

A total of 650 entries were attracted to the Main Event and 241 players returned to Day 2 hosted yesterday. A prize pool of €1,103,500 was created in the tournament, chipped in by the above entries. In the late registration period on Day 2, another 101 entries were drawn. The field eventually whittled down to 23 players who will return today.

Daniel Smiljkovic ended as the chip leader on Day 2 after bagging 2,335,000 chips. He went up and down the chip counts throughout the day but finally managed to gain the lead in the latter levels of the day. Georgia’s Gaga Gotsadze finished 2nd in chip counts and rounding up top 3 was Netherland’s Paul van Oort.

Some of the well-known players who bagged at the end of the day at King’s Casino. include Martin Kabrhel (2,040,000), who already has 4 rings and 2 WSOP bracelets to his name but won’t mind adding another one if he wins the event today. Some of the players to get railed yesterday were Jaroslav PeterAndrej Imrich and Roman Sahin.

King’s Casino recently hosted TIPS 2.0 and saw a good Indian turnout, however, there are no Indians in this event. Today will be the final day of the Main Event and of the WSOPE Rozvadov. The final 23 players will resume play at level 28 with 30k/60k/60k (big blind ante). Everyone is guaranteed at least €7,181 but the winner will take home €190,000 (~INR 1.48 Crores), a WSOPE ME ticket worth €10,350 and a WSOP Circuit ring.
