Daniel Negreanu Has A Connection To Holocaust? WTF!

Recently, Daniel Negreanu made a shocking revelation that his ancestors were victims of the dreaded Holocaust. The six-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner has always been vocal about his game, burning issues and his personal life too. However, this time his revelation has been a rather horrific one.

Negreanu shared a post on his Twitter handle wherein he stated that his wife, Amanda Negreanu, found documents that show Negreanu’s grandfather was killed in Bergen-Belson during the Holocaust in 1945. He further said that he had no idea that his grandfather had been a victim of one of the most horrifying events in the history of mankind. 

He further said, “My wife @RadioAmanda recently found documents of my grandfather who was killed in Bergen-Belson during the Holocaust. I had no idea. Both creepy and surreal to see in light of all the recent antisemitic rhetoric denying the Holocaust even took place.” (sic.)

The documents shared by DNegs show that his grandfather named Constantin Negreanu who was born on 4th July 1903, and resided in Vrancea, belonged to the Windorf community was killed in November of 1945. The post includes two documents, dated 8th January, 1948 and 6th June 1947 respectively, displaying the same details.

The Holocaust, which is also popularly known as the Shoah, is a genocide of European Jews during World War II. It lasted between 1941 and 1945, wherein the Nazi Germany and its collaborators murdered around six million Jews across German-occupied Europe. Out of this, around two-thirds was Europe’s Jewish population. Pogroms and mass shootings were carried out details of which still give people an unparalleled shock. Anti-sematism, racism and pan-Germanism are said to be the main motives of the entire holocaust. 

Anti-semitism is the hostility, prejudice, and discrimination against Jews. Recently, famous rapper Ye, (Kanye West) cast a spotlight on the long-standing problem of anti-semitism. He made offensive remarks that inspired demonstrations of hate and stoked fears among the Jewish community. He proposed anti-semitic tropes and conspiracy theories that led to the rapper losing a ton of fortune after Adidas cut ties with him, while other groups came out in his support.
