Popular social media personality and poker enthusiast Dan Bilzerian reportedly ends partnership with GGPoker. More details on Bilzerian’s exit from GGPoker are awaited. Bilzerian who is often referred to as the ‘trust fund baby’ made headlines yet again when he called poker players ‘f*****g nerds’ and going by what he said, it clearly showed that he is no fan of players who grind for money or titles. He made some shocking revelation when he sat down with Adam22 of No Jumper Podcast.
The Instagram king is known for dropping truth bombs and his latest comments are shining examples of how Bilzerian does not shy away from saying what he has to. Bilzerian announced that he split with GGPoker and chose to end the relationship because it did not benefit either party.
Bilzerian joined GGPoker as the poker room’s ambassador in 2020 with the aim of using his Instagram reach to attract new players for the poker site. When on the podcast, he said, “My goal with poker was always to play with people that we’re playing for fun,” Bilzerian said. “I wanted to play with the rich guy that was playing for fun, not the guy that was trying to be a f*****g killer. I wanted to play against these rich guys that were going there to f*****g, like, blow off some steam, f**k with their friends, show a big bluff, f**k some massage girls, whatever, get out of the house from the wife.”
Adding to this, the controversial social figure said that he gets offered lots of money to do promotions, but he does not have the heart to do it. Bilzerian also added that he had turned down seven-figure offers to promote NFTs and other products like poker sites, but he concluded by saying, “I just wont sellout.”
This is not the first time that Blizerian has pulled such a stunt of going on a rant. Many in the international poker fraternity were critical when GGPoker broke the news of Bilzerian being their ambassador. If news reports are to be believed then Bilzerian was also known to be a sexist in the circuit, a proof of which was on full display when he locked horns with Vanessa Kade on Twitter. The social media influencer replied to Kade saying, “Quiet hoe, nobody knows who you are.”
Bilzerian called out 16-time WSOP bracelet winner Hellmuth. On the No Jumper Podcast, Bilzerian said, “Guys like Phil Hellmuth are probably the worst f*****g thing to ever happen to poker. You got a guy berating players for playing bad. In my games, we encourage people to play bad,” commented Bilzerian.
This wasn’t the end of Bilzerian’s Hellmuth bashing. He further called out the record-breaking WSOP bracelet winner for his tactics in Hustler Casino’s live stream which also featured YouTube and Twitch celebrities like MrBeast and Ninja. Bilzerian added, “We wanted people to make bad calls and stupid bluffs,” Bilzerian revealed about his home games. He said further, “And this f*****g idiot (Hellmuth) is encouraging them to play better, to play tighter, and it’s like, why?”
Not just Hellmuth, Bilzerian called out Doug Polk as well. The No Jumper Podcast guest said, “He’s (Polk) the stereotypical clickbait guy. He doesn’t care about reporting the news, and was willing to convolute the truth to fit his narrative to get him the story that he wanted. And then he’d basically hide under the guise of ‘oh, I’m just a journalist.’ But it’s like, no if you’re a journalist taking that approach, you’ve got some ethical issues there.”
