Call Of Duty Reveals Name And Theme For Season 5

As Call of Duty (COD) Mobile Season 4: Spurned and Burned is nearing its end, COD Mobile India has revealed the much-awaited name and theme for its upcoming season 5. 

Season 4 will officially end on June 28th, 2021. Season 5 will immediately kick-start the next day, i.e., June 29th, 2021. The developers revealed that the upcoming season will officially be called COD Mobile Season 5: In Deep Water. The season will feature an aquatic-based theme.

Usually, COD developers release test servers for every major update they launch. However, there has been no such announcement of test servers for season 5 so far. The developers may skip test servers for the latest season. 

Just like season 4, season 6 is anticipated to bring major changes to the game. So players can expect a public test server before the launch of COD Mobile season 6.

The new season reportedly will also feature two new functional weapons—CR-56 AMAX, an addition to the assault rifle and 725, an addition to the shotgun class. The information of 725 being an addition as a secondary weapon had also leaked earlier. However, players will have to wait for the official announcement from the developer to come. 

Earlier, the developers had also teased a new map which will be a part of season 5 on social media. The map looks like a replica of the iconic Call of Duty Modern Warfare map named ‘Docks.’ 

The map was introduced initially in COD Modern Warfare in 2019. The developers are also rumored to bring Suldal Harbor and Aniyah Incursion into season 5.

The developer, Activision, had also shared a teaser which indicated the return of a famous character in the game. The teaser featured Ghost and a k9 unit. The teaser also suggests that a new legendary operator can be made available in-game in Season 5.

Ghost is all set to make a comeback via Season 4’s comic storyline on June 25th, 2021. In the meantime, players can complete their season 4 missions and grab the rewards before it ends on June 28th.
