Bhanu Prakash ranks 1st in Spartan’s Weekly TLB

After coming from a cool INR 4 Lakhs for topping the October Hot Tournament Leaderboard on The Spartan Poker and ranking 2^nd in its Weekly TLB a while later, the well-known online grinder Bhanu Prakash aka ‘spectre’ topped last week’s Weekly TLB for another welcome prize amount of INR 1 Lakh.

A leaderboard is a race which really picks out the best and the most consistent players from the grind and gives them added incentives for their efforts. Topping the leaderboard shows how skilled a player really is, with the random luck factors that make a newbie often bag their boastful wins thrown out of the equation. The player’s vast experience and perseverance are often the biggest factors to rank in a leaderboard.

Bhanu Prakash is a player who has stepped up his game quite a lot in recent months, and his online career also looks pretty decorated with his top cashes and tournament wins from various platforms. His biggest online cash prize was when he topped the SSS Main Event for over INR 11.2 Lakhs back in 2017 plus the leaderboard 1^st place cash prize of INR 5 Lakhs on Spartan.

We held a small interview with the then 30-year old player after his SSS win. He holds Steve Jobs in high regard, and quoted his line in the interview saying, “As Steve Jobs has rightly said, ‘Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. Everything else is secondary’”. He’ll be looking forward to pursuing his passion for poker with more vigour and enthusiasm now that his bankroll has a welcome addition.

The 2^nd place on last week’s TLB on Spartan was Anurag Srivastava aka ‘InvestmentBanker’, whose Mega Stack win last week on the platform was probably the main factor in his ranking. He took home INR 75,000 as his 2^nd rank cash prize in the TLB.

3^rd position in the TLB was also filled by a well-known online player Pranav Bang aka ‘CalvinKlein’ who bagged INR 40,000. 4^th and 5^th places were filled by ‘Alliswell’ and ‘sanjaykotak75’ for 25,000 and 10,000 respectively.
