The Indian poker and gaming industry’s growth in the last few years has been commendable. Several international brands have expanded their presence in India and one such example is the tie-up between Asian Poker Tour (APT) with PokerBaazi. The APT India Online Series 2021 will be held from 15 to 26 January 2021. This series will be open to Indian players only.
The upcoming series is set to guarantee a minimum prize pool of INR 8 Crore (US$1,084,000). Satellite tournaments for the APT India Online Series 2021 will commence from 9 December on PokerBaazi. The Main Event, Mini Main and Championships Event winners will receive a trophy along with a ring.
APT India Online Series 2021 will have a daily leader board and an overall leader board series worth INR 50 Lakhs. Not only a huge sum, the series leader board topper will also get ‘Player of the Series’ title alongside a trophy, ring, and a luxury watch. The first and second runner-ups will also receive trophies.

Talking about the exciting partnership, Lloyd Fontillas, APT General Manager and Executive Tournament Director said, “What excites me the most about our partnership is the fact that PokerBaazi also operates a live poker room. So on top of the action-packed online schedule we are putting together, players can expect us to bring back a live APT event to India before the end of 2021.”
