APT Online: ‘peng5850’ leads Mini Main Event $200K GTD on Natural8

The 2nd edition of the biggest and richest festival ever by the Asian Poker Tour (APT) is promising a superb $10 million in prize pool within a span of just 15 days. The double action features a total of 228 events and the first two events are already underway on Asia-facing online poker room, Natural8.

Mini Main Event $200,000 GTD

The multi-flight Mini Main Event $200,000 GTD kicked off of 11 June, out of 8 starting flights 4 have concluded. Natural8 was crammed with 312 runners in Flight A, the next one attracted 449 entries out of which only 70 and 113 players could survive leading to Day 2. With a buy-in as low as $50, Flight C drew 331 hopefuls closing out with 74 remaining players.

Only 126 could advance further from a field of 481 entries in Flight D. So far the event has already drawn attention of 1,573 entries with 383 moving towards the battleground on Sunday, 14 June at 21:00 (HKT). Leading the crowd is ‘peng5850’ with an enormous stack of 508,527 followed by ‘mon$terDad’ with 503,892 and ‘VSMPZD’ bagging 354,711, the top three players. The ultimate winner will receive APT Trophy and a coveted APT Ring.

Event 1: Opening Event $500,000 GTD

Be it any series around the world, the poker players are always excited for the kick off event. Natural8 hosted APT Opening Event promising $500,000 with 12 starting flights. Half a million dollar event pulled in 154 entries across Flight A and Flight B for a buy-in of $300. Similarly, Flight C and Flight D garnered 237 entries. Only 77 qualifiers will merge with the upcoming ones to grab the ultimate APT title! Leading the force is ‘mrduckie’ with a towering 427,496 stack, ‘John1087’ follows next with 362,937 chips and ‘Rabbitlung’ bagging 305,913 chips.
