APT 2022 Resorts World Manila Postponed Amid Rising COVID-19 Cases

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2022 which was scheduled to take place from 20th to 23rd January at Resorts World Manila (RWM) has been postponed due to a rise in COVID-19 cases. The live poker event has now been rescheduled and will be hosted from 3rd to 6th March 2022.

The announcement was made via the brand’s social media handles. The Mystery Bounty Weekend with over 3 million in guaranteed prizes will be the first Mystery Bounty event held in the Philippines. The area called Metro Manila in which the live event was set to take place was categorized under Alert Level 3 as COVID-19 cases continued to spike.

This is not the first time that APT had to postpone its live event due to the COVID-19 scare. Last year, APT Vietnam Phu Quoc 2021 which was scheduled for 17th – 28th March 2021 had to be postponed to May due to international travel restrictions and curfews in the city. In 2020, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, APT had to cancel its APT Vietnam Ho Chi Minh event that was slated for June 2020.

Despite the challenges, APT has continued to do its best to deliver an exciting experience whilst keeping safety on the top of its agenda.
