Ankit Omprakash Bajaj Takes Down FTS Double Stack Event

Eight players resumed on the final table of the Final Table Series (FTS) Double Stack INR 25 Lakh GTD event earlier today. We had a field of 685 players yesterday and the final table resumed on live-stream today, with ‘borntrouble’ in the chip lead of this featured tournament on Spartan Poker.

It turned out to be a pretty action-packed final table today which wrapped up in just 49 minutes since it commenced. And it wasn’t Varma who went on to ride the chip lead but it was Ankit Omprakash Bajaj aka ‘ON_MY_MAC’ who went on to take down the title and take home the top prize of INR 5,28,820 along with an FTS 2.0 Gold Medallion!

Final Table Recap

Starting the final table with only 6 BBs, it was a quick bust out for the 20-year-old Shivam Khandelwal aka ‘iaafpg’ who lost AK to Queens and headed out in 8th place for INR 60,554 in prize money. Later, it was Yudhishter Jaswal aka ‘McFly’ to head out of the tournament in 7th place for INR 86,858.

Interestingly, his wife Muskan Sethi was commentating live on the stream at the time and she would’ve been super disappointed as he lost AK offsuit to an AK suited, the latter hitting a flush on the board. Manoj Kumar aka ‘Solder9’ ended a good run in 6th place soon later, finishing his tournament on Spartan Poker for a prize of INR 1,15,354.

From there, there was a flourish of quick bust-outs as Prashant Pandagre aka ‘prashant17’ finished in 5th place for INR 1,47,686 and within a few hands, we saw our overnight chip leader ‘borntrouble’ heading out in 4th place for INR 1,87,964. From there, it was Kunal Patni aka ‘NutsTodayBluffTomo’ who took an unassailable chip lead in 3-way play.

These players had no intention of grinding it out for long hours as it was just a few minutes later that Sanish Chhabra aka ‘Sanish21’ busted in 3rd place for a payday of INR 2,38,654 in this Double Stack Event. Everyone was rooting for Patni to go on to win the heads-up session but he wasn’t able to keep up the good work, eventually ending as runner-up which saw the title going Bajaj’s way!
