Amar Mehta Takes Down PokerBaazi’s Monday Major


Virtual felts are ablaze with marquee tournaments and Monday night was no different. Not just India Online Poker Championship, but even the Asian Poker Tour 2022 (APT) on PokerBaazi has been dishing out high-value events. And players are fighting tooth and nail to clinch top spots. 

Iron Man – ₹8 Lakh GTD 

Adda52’s Iron Man tournament had 458 entries in total. The top 49 players made it in the money in this ₹2,200 buy-in event. The advertised guarantee of this event was crushed and the final prize pool stood at ₹9,16,000. The tournament was shipped by a mystery player who goes by the moniker ‘chunu79’ who cashed ₹2,24,420. The runner-up was Kritagya Sharma aka ‘kritagya_17’ who received a pay cheque of ₹1,32,820.

Monday Major – ₹20 Lakh GTD 

APT 2022’s Monday Major tournament had 580 entries in total. The top 72 players made it in the money in this ₹4,400 buy-in event. The min-cash paid was ₹7,190. The advertised guarantee was surpassed and the final prize pool came up to ₹23,20,000. The tournament was a deal between Amar Mehta aka ‘kidpoker0109’ and Bhuvan Pavankiran aka ‘RootahuaMachi.’ Mehta cashed ₹3,76,000, Pavankiran took home ₹3,69,000 in prize money.

APT #8 PKO – ₹10 Lakh GTD

The tournament was shipped by a mystery player called ‘shaddy.’ This player took home ₹2,01,000 in prize money. The runner-up was yet another anonymous player ‘KingOfAllSpades’ who added ₹1,41,000 to his bankroll.
