Aditya Sushant wins last night’s Spartan Elite

Spartan Poker, one of the most reputed poker brands in the country hosted The Elite INR 25 Lakhs GTD, a featured tournament scheduled for every Friday. Since it has a high buy-in of INR 11,000 the event attracts the top poker players from around the country.

The tournament began at 9:00 pm last evening and a total of 307 entries (including 81 re-entries and 89 rebuys) entered. Surprisingly the prize pool surpassed the guaranteed amount to create INR 30,70,000 in prize money, and only 31 places receiving a paycheck. After a long grind of 8 hours, ending at 5:05am, a winner emerged.

Well known pro and India’s first WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant under the name ‘SuperuSer’ won this Friday night’s featured tournament. Taking home an enormous amount, Sushant beat Shravan Chhabria aka ‘poker321’ in heads-up, the latter playing from his FTRpoker account.

It was a star-studded affair on the FT on Spartan Poker as apart from Sushant, there was Chhabria and Eka Vedantham aka ‘gettingthere’, all of whom are considered to be among the best players in India. Sushant entered the final hand with the largest stack. Sushant folded pre-flop itself and a deal was eventually made in last night’s Elite.

Other notable players decorating yesterday evening include Meet Jariwali aka ‘mjpokerfan’ (5^th), Manish Lakhotia aka ‘thekid’ (7^th), Siddarth Singhvi aka ‘PeterPunter (9^th), Sriharsha D aka ‘GTOsucks’ (12^th), Lakshpal Singh aka ‘LuckyBhai$’ (26^th), Sandeep Varma aka ‘effuno’ (30^th) and so on.
