Abhinav Iyer takes down BSS SuperStack on PokerBaazi

In the Indian poker industry, Sundays are known for the biggest tournaments hosted and contested across major platforms and across the country. On PokerBaazi, there’s something called Baazi Super Sundays (BSS), where a guaranteed prize pool of INR 25 lakh is split into three different tournaments.

One of these three is the BSS SuperStack INR 15 lakh GTD which usually sees a very strong field each Sunday at 8pm and this Sunday was no different. 175 players and 124 re-entries participated in the INR 5,500 tournament and eventually, the prize pool was shared among the top 27 with a min-cash of around INR 18k.

Several top players finish in the money and that should give you a better idea of how competitive this field can get on PokerBaazi every Sunday night. One such player was Prince Singh who plays as ‘NaNki’ on PokerBaazi, and here he finished 8th to take away around 41k in prize money.

The competition kept getting tougher as the tournament went deeper and Akshay Nasa aka ‘sherlock52’ is one player who is always a top contender in major online tournaments. Here, he busted in 5th place, missing another online poker title but being rewarded well with a prize of 97k.

Raman Gujral aka ‘ifryu’ was also in the mix but was sent to the rail in 4th place for a prize of 127k. This is an old timer in the Indian poker industry and he won the same tournament just last month on PokerBaazi. Sathishananth ‘satya222’ Raja finished in 3rd place and heads-up was then between Abhinav Iyer aka ‘griezmann’ and ‘TheHungryKid’.

TheHungryKid was been doing well of late, but we all know what a beat Iyer is in online poker. He has plenty of poker achievements and here, he added another one to his list, shipping the BSS SuperStack for the biggest prize of INR 3 lakh on the night. The runner-up won INR 2,25,000 which is also a pretty decent prize amount.
