24 Indians progress to Day 2 of Little One for One Drop


Everyone’s focus and attention are firmly on the Main Event that we tend to forget that other bracelet events are also being contested at the 2019 World Series of Poker (WSOP). One of them is Event #75: $1000 +$111 Little One for One Drop, which recently completed the third of its three starting flights in Las Vegas.

Day 1C saw a participation of 3,200+ entries, which took the overall count of 6,246 entries for the tournament. While there were Indian players bagging from Day 1A and 1B, the biggest contingent of 13 Indian survivors came from Day 1C. They progressed among 1,267 runners from this flight, and all will resume today on Day 2. Indian origin Nipun Java also progressed with 162k chips.

Aditya Systla bagged a stack of 184,600 chips, making him the largest stacked Indian from Day 1C. However, it will be Rahul Byrraju who goes into Day 2 with the biggest stack from Team India, taking a bag of 248,500 chip forward from Day 1B. Last year in this event, Aditya Sushant made a magnificent run to end in 11th place. This year however, he isn’t among the survivors.

Coming back to Day 1C, it was Nikolay Fal who ended the night as the chip leader with 437,000 chips. Other notables to progress include Shaun Deeb (222,100) and recent bracelet winner in the Seniors Event, Howard Mash (154,700). Previous Main Event winners Jamie Gold (147,000) and Greg Raymer (120,000) also survived the day.
