15K Women’s Special – Final table payouts
Jyoti Krishna ships the DPT Nov 2022 15K Women’s Special event for ₹1,00,300. While talking about her game Krishna said that her husband encouraged her to play this event and that’s what made her participate in the Women’s Special tournament. The runner-up Taruna Kamdar took a pay cheque of ₹60,500.

On Level 8, blinds 600 – 1,200/ big blind ante 1,200, Jakhar’s K ❤ 5 ❤ were up against Krishna’s A ♣ 5 ♦ . The community cards fell Q ♠ 7 ❤ A ❤ T ♦ 9 ♠. This board gave Ace-pair and it was time to leave the table for Jakhar at the 7th spot.
Radhika Shankar aka ‘Poker Mom’ finishes 6th

On Level 8, blinds 600 – 1,200/ big blind ante 1,200, Milena Mezhueva (K ♣ Q ♠) opens with 3K from UTG and finds a caller in Jyoti Krishna (Q ♦ T ♣). The flop shows 7 ♦ Q ❤ 8 ♣ and both players hit a pair with their respective Queen. The turn brings A ♣ but the river of T ♦ seals the deal for Krishna as she hits two pairs (QQ, TT). Sadly for Mezhueva it was time to leave the tourney.

On Level 7, blinds 500 – 1,000/ big blind ante 1,000, Gunisha Singh (4 ♣ 4 ❤ ) open shoves with 12K from under the gun and Jyoti Krishna (J ♣ J ♠) calls from the button. The board shows 2 ❤ T ♠ 8 ♣ 6 ♣ 6 ♦ and with that Krishna and Singh both hit two pairs but the former has a better hand with her Fishhooks to grab the pot!
Finally, one of the most popular poker pros in the country, Kanchan Sharma has joined the action in the 15K Women’s Special tournament. Now, poker fans can expect some spectacular fireworks.
On Level 6, blinds 400 – 800/ big blind 800, action got more intense when the flop was revealed as 3 ❤ 8 ♠ 7 ♣. Taruna
Kamdar checked the flop from the big blind position and Sunita Jakhar bet 1.5K from the button. Kamdar calls and the turn shows 4 ♠. Kamdar takes the check route again despite hitting a flush draw and Jakhar once again bets but this time a higher amount of 2.5K. Q ♠ came on the river and then there was a role reversal which was quite expected; with a flush in hand, Kamdar bets 2K and her rival calls.
On Level 5, big blinds 300 – 600/ big blind ante 600, Jyoti Krishna opens with 1K from the small blind position and Milena Mezhueva calls the bet from the cutoff. The flop presented 2 ♣ 7 ♣ 4 ♦ and both the players checked. 6 ♠ came on the turn and Krishna bet 1K and her rival calls. The river brought 2 ♦ and Krishna checks. Mezhueva throws in 1.2K into the pot. After tanking for a bit Krishna makes the call. Krishna’s Ah 8h did her no good while Mezhueva’s 6c 3d prevailed for her to win the pot.
The women only tourney has two more players in Karishma A, Gunisha Singh and Milena Mezhueva.
Kanchan Sharma in April 2022 took down the ₹10K RE Women’s Special at the DPT event. The diva took a pay cheque of ₹92,400 for her first place finish. The runner-up was a Russian player named Katya Joule who added ₹64,400 to her bankroll.
On Level 4, blinds 200 – 400/big blind ante 400, Sunita Jakhar (BB) and Taruna Kamdar (UTG) check the flop of 5 ❤ 6 ♣ K ❤ . The turn of K ♣ sees Jakhar check but Kamdar takes the opportunity to throw in 1K into the pot. Jakhar matches the bet made by her rival. On the river of 2 ♠, Jakhar makes a bet of 2K and her rival in the hand calls. Jakhar with her 7 ♦ 6 ❤ scoops the pot and Kamdar’s A ♣ 5 ♣ couldn’t outweigh her rival’s hand.
On Level 4, blinds 200 – 400/big blind ante 400, Sohini Bhattacharya (J ♣ 8 ♣) opens with 1.5K from under the gun (UTG) and Jyoti Krishna (A ♦ T ❤ ) makes the call from the button position. The dealer fanned out a flop of 4 ❤ Q ♠ Q ♦ and both players chose to check. The turn presented 3 ♦ and that too went checked. The river of 5 ❤ made Krishna bet 1K and her rivals matches the bet.
The 15K Women’s Special tournament welcomes some more players in the form of Riyana R, Taruna Kamdar, Sohini Bhattacharya, Karishma Awalegaonkar among others.
At Level 1, blinds: 100 – 200, Harshita Jain (Pocket Rockets) from limps from the cutoff position while Radhika Shanakar aka ‘Poker Mom’ (6h 4x) takes the all-in route from the big blind position and the former calls without wasting any time. The community cards fell as follows 7d 5h 2c 9s 9h. This board gave Jain two pairs and for her rival it was game over on the very first level of the game.
