Poker Masters to return in September 2018
Just a couple of days back, the prestigious Super High Roller Bowl 2018 concluded at the ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, with Justin Bonomo taking home the massive top prize of $5 million. Immediately after that, Poker Central and ARIA have announced their next big series together - The Poker Masters.
The two are known for jointly hosting some of the best high roller events in the world, and Poker Masters is one such event. This will be the second Poker Masters series, with the inaugural one being a 5-tournament series in 2017, wherein German poker pro Steffen Sontheimer turned out to be the major gainer.
Season 2 now returns with 7 high stakes events, which will be held between 6-13 September (barring 9th September) and will feature lower buy-ins that last year. $50,000 was the cheapest buy-in last year, while that is the highest buy-in this year, with $10,000 being the lowest.
All events are 2-day events which will take place in the newly opened PokerGO Studio, and all final tables will be streamed on Poker Central's platform, PokerGO. There will be no cap on the number of entries to each event and the highest grossing player will be crowned the Poker Masters Champion, being also gifted the Poker Masters 'Purple Jacket'.
“We were pleased with the turnout for last year’s inaugural Poker Masters series and look forward to building upon the legacy of one of poker’s leading majors. As we add on even more high stakes events, fans can expect a week’s worth of world-class poker action featuring some of the game's best,” said Sam Simmons, Poker Central VP of content.
