At present, Nasa is playing poker full time and during his second year BTech from IIT Delhi. Nasa has final tabled Destiny tournament two times where once he came sixth and other seventh and this time he shipped defeating ‘Wraithlord’ in the heads-up battle. Here are some excerpts from the interview:

Congratulations Akshay! Please tell us how did you start on your poker journey?

In the second year of my BTech from IIT Delhi, I began playing poker from small home games in our hostel rooms. I started playing from micro stakes cash games on Adda52.com. It was a hobby till on eye area back when I started playing MTT’s in 2014.

Tell us about your start in live poker tournaments.

I was a part of Poker Sports League (PSL) which was my first serious live poker game. In this year I also went to play World Series of Poker (WSOP) where I played few tournaments. In the last DPT I ran deep in the HighRoller tournament. I have also played Macau Poker Cup and at present I am travelling DPT, Goa.

Describe your journey through Destiny. Kindly give us details on some of the key hands.

Destiny was a smooth journey except the final HU which was terribly long. I had good chips since beginning of tournament kept taking my spots. Final HU was swingy and long. Before that I was confident of shipping it but there were moments during Hu where I thought it could be someone else’s day.

What are your future plans in the live and online space?

As I said in my earlier answer I am going for DPT now. I will be playing World Poker Tour, India in November might take a short at WSOP Europe. Definitely going for Asian Poker Tour, Manila.

Your feedback on The Spartan Poker itself and their promotions.

TheSpartanPoker has been excellent in their promotions giving the best value for all the players out there.

What do you plan to do with this money?

I have lost a lot during the MPC. So this money will be used to replenish my bankroll.

Congratulations Akshay Nasa and all the other ITM finishers. We will be back with the fourth week Destiny winner.
